Description
The Community College of Allegheny County, located in Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood, was founded in 1965. Overlooking the Golden Triangle on historical Monument Hill, are three large campus structures: the Library Building; Milton Hall, the primary classroom building; and the Physical Education Building. These structures were designed by architect Tasso Katselas and built at a cost of $11 million in 1969. The main building (primary classroom building) included laboratories for business departments and allied health labs, plus labs for reading, music and languages. The Physical Education Building has a competition size pool, handball courts, exercise, weight lifting, tumbling, and dance rooms. Construction was completed in 1973.
