Description
The row of nineteenth century buildings (center) was the heart of the site, which was to become the home of the U.S. Steel Tower. On the far side of the buildings running left to right is Grant Street with the First Lutheran Church visible in the upper left. In the foreground is Bigelow Boulevard coming into the city from Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.
