  • The Mesta Machine Company was located in the Pittsburgh suburb of West Homestead. The twenty-acre plant complex was situated along the Monongahela River and the Pennsylvania Railroad, both of which transported the various types of mechanical products the company produced. The Mesta Station (pictured here) was located on the Monongahela side of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The large metal bridge led from the station to the third floor entrance of the General Office Building. There were numerous trains that passed through the station every day, and it generally took about twenty minutes to travel the six miles from Pittsburgh to the Mesta Station by train.
