  • Irwin Avenue Junior High School was originally built in 1904 on the old Taggart Farm as the Second Ward Industrial School for Boys. In 1926 the name was changed once again to the Irwin Avenue Girls’ Vocational High School. The school was closed in 1961 and the property subsequently sold.
