Description
Miller Elementary School students planting a tree at the Wylie Avenue Library. The second-grade students at the school, in order to complete a study unit on plants, donated the tree and grass seeds to the library. Adults standing behind the pupils from left to right are Robert Edwards, school-community agent; Miss Elizabeth McCombs, librarian; Rudolph Jeffries, principal; and Miss Susan Shane, second-grade teacher who is shoveling the first spade of earth.
