  • Students enrolled in the “Centers for the Musically Talented” program are instructed by bass trombonist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Byron McCulloh, at Fifth Avenue High School. These students were among the 256 instrumental and vocal students that attended the program. From left to right are Karl Engelhardt from Perry High School, Ray Borus from North Catholic High School, Joe Meehan from Canevin High School, Joan Mrozowski from Saint Benedict Academy, and Don Falk from Taylor Allderdice High School.
