Description
Students in an Americanization class at Forbes School learn language, law, and history skills to enable them to meet citizenship requirements. In the mid-twentieth century, the third floor of Forbes School was utilized to provide classes to help immigrants. Over the years, hundreds of immigrants were educated at the school. Similar classes are now conducted at Peabody and South High Schools.
