Description
Walter X. Eibeck (1915-1992) was a Pittsburgh singer featured for 10 years on KDKA radio. He sang lead tenor for 40 years with Circle W Four, formerly the Westinghouse Quartet, a barbershop quartet which travelled throughout the US and Canada and performed on USO tours throughout the world. He and his group were affiliated with the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBQSA). Eibeck had a day job as a bricklayer. This segment is a recording of The Circle W Four (barbershop quartet), from the Pittsburgh, PA, Chapter #1. U.S.O. Far East Tour, the Philippines, March 10, 1969. Tenor - Al Headrick, Lead - Walt Eibeck, Bari - Bill Sabina, Bass - John Power.
