and who she was visiting. The scrapbook provides a glimpse of debutante life and the women
involved in the early 1930's in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Scrapbook is in its original order and chronological. Items are listed or described by
page.
Biographical / Historical
Lucile (Bunny) Todd (1912-1985) was the daughter of William B. Todd and Julia H. Todd in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Lucile debuted in 1931 and kept a scrapbook of invites and
newspaper clippings documenting her time as a debutante and participation in the high
society of Pittsburgh. Lucile kept notes of what events she attended and who she attended
them with. She attended several events with Pittsburgh Pirates Harold "Pie" Traynor.
Newspaper clippings highlighted her fashions, outings at golf clubs and sports events, and
charity events. Lucile volunteered at the children's hospital and other organizations and
assisted in organizating events. Lucile marries Thomas E. Pickering in March 1937, although
not documented in her scrapbook, we get a glimpse of Thomas, Lucile, and friends at an event
in 1933.
