Description
A crane strips molds at O. H. #5. Molten steel produced at the furnace was poured into ingot molds in a process called teeming. Once the molten metal solidified sufficiently, the molds were removed from the ingots. The ingots were then taken by rail to other facilities at the steel works where they were worked to suit a desired function.
