Description
Two women walk down a staircase in Carnegie Institute's Central Library Hall. The eight-acre building contains six thousand tons of European marble, some from the very quarry that supplied Pentelic marble for the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. A telephone directory on a table next to a booth are pictured on the right.
