Description
View of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh's Polish Hill section. The church was based on the design of Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. Polish Hill, located approximately two miles east of downtown Pittsburgh and encompassing about 139 acres, was known as Polskie Gory" in 1885 by the first Polish immigrants to the area."
