Description
View showing the north end of the 10th Street Bridge, a portal to the Armstrong Tunnel, and the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Rail Yard filled with box cars and flat cars looking across the Monongahela River at Second Avenue. The view also features billboard advertisements for Firestone Tires, Silver Top Beverage, Wrigley's, and Vitagraph Pictures, among others; an automobile and a Hokey Man standing in the middle of the intersection. A close look to the right of the image shows a man making an attempt to traverse the hillside. The Panhandle Bridge appears just beyond the Pennsylvania Door & Sash Company. The Pittsburgh and Birmingham Traction Companies were owners of the right of way pictured at the center.
