Description
Public trash can with the phrases "Help Keep Pittsburgh Clean" and "Don't Be A Litterbug" on the side of the trash can, encouraging the public not to litter. According to a November 12, 2014 article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazett, the slogan "Don't Be A Litterbug" was used in an anti-litter advertisement by the Pennsylvania Resource Council (PRC) in 1952. The phrase is still used in anti-litter brochures, events, and advertisements by the PRC.
