  • Description
  • This promotional trailer opens with a slide that says: "Trolley--train--motor bus or automobile--take what you may--unexcelled accommodations here exist for any mode of transportation" and "A picnic arrives by train right into Kennywood's P.R.R. Station, situated on the park's premises." and cuts to a train arriving and people walking down a platform. Another slide advises viewers that there's room for 7000 cars to park safe and easy. The film continues to promote the swimming pool and beach as the "largest and finest in the east" and shows elevated views of the swimming pool and close up of the diving board, crowded with swimmers. The following slide reassures viewers that safety is a priority. The film continues to show various rides and views of the park including the Sea Planes, Chair-O-Plane, Old Mill, Tumble Bug, carousel, Racer, Jack Rabbit, Pippin, Kiddieland, Stratoship, and Noah’s Ark. Additional footage shows a race at the athletic field, the Sensational Jacks acrobats performing on the Lagoon stage, performers with horses, children with clown Billy Lorette, a pan of the dance hall interior, and scenes of the pony track and Monkey Island. Footage turns to color views of the Casino, the park's restaurant. The trailer concludes with views of the midways, gardens, and miniature golf.
