  • Steve Vravel recalls changes that have occurred in Homestead during his lifetime, specifically with regard to safety practices and work at the steel mill. He describes life during the Great Depression and the forms of recreation that Homestead residents took part in, such as going to the movies and to dances. He discusses the union's impact on the mill and working conditions there.
