Description
Contains a detailed review of the history, age, and ownership of 849 North Lincoln Avenue, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The house was created when retired Pittsburgh industrialist George Harton Singer combined two attached 40 year old homes at 847 and 849 Lincoln Avenue. After the family moved to Sewickley, the property was purchased by John R. McGinely (president of the Gary Screw & Bolt Company). The building was eventually converted into a rooming house.
