  • Lenox employee casting the foot. According to a Lenox Crystal production display, this image depicts a cherrywood "clapper" grooved to the size of the foot being placed over the "gob" of molten glass. The blowpipe is then rolled gently up and down the rail and the foot is formed inside the clapper.
