She talks about family settling in Brownsville; lack of safety in the mines; family purchase of timberland in North Carolina. She talks about 1907 explosion in Fairhope mine: father helping miners; pregnant mother giving birth unexpectedly. She talks about living in Donora: house; miners’ union; strike; company store; country school; St. Charles School and music lessons; zinc mills. [t2s1]Sister Roza Wagner talks about becoming a Sister of St. Joseph in 1914; first assignments as cook in school convents; caring for children in St. Joseph’s Infant Home in Ebensburg in 1902s; life during the Depression.
