  • An aerial view of the Turtle ride (Tumble Bug) and Thunderbolt. Built in 1927 as the Tumble Bug by Traver Engineering of Beaver Falls, PA, the ride originally had five bug-shaped cars that would move on a circular, undulating track. The ride was re-themed as the Turtle in 1948 by the successor of Traver Engineering, R.E. Chambers Company, who added a sixth car.
