Description
Children eating under a pavilion during a rainy school picnic. Original caption: "Good news for rained out school picknickers! Although excessive rain this season prevented thousands of children from using the reduced rate school tickets they purchased in advance of their outings at Kennywood Park, 20 boys and girls are going to agree that everything happens for the best. To give another opportunity to use the tickets, Kennywood has extended the time when such tickets are honored. Normally expiring Wednesday night, they will be accepted Friday and Saturday as well. July 4th is naturally not included. More than that, 20 Ridewell bicycles will be given free to boy and girl picknickers on the additional two days, Friday and Saturday. The bicycles are the latest streamline models. They are gaily colored in cream and red and have elongated headlights like automobiles. Here are James McElroy, William Wiles, Walter Kline, Dorothy Kline, and Frank Wiles, all of Locust St. "
