Description
Upper Washington Street between Clinton and Franklin Streets. The photograph shows multiple buildings, including the First Methodist Episcopal Church in the background. The railroad in the foreground represents the terminus of Johnstown branch of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, Rockwood Line. This portion of Washington Street was the site of a canal weigh lock, and the path and direction of the canal is indicated by an arrow drawn on the photograph.
