Description
View of a truck carrying "Golden Triangle Potatoes: Pittsburgh, Pa." driving through the intersection of Liberty Avenue with 11th Street. Looking south, in view is the United States Post office and Courthouse building (1934) (center). In 2014, the post office service in the building was closed and is now located in the Liberty Center tower. The courthouse hosts one of the three divisions of the Western District of Pennsylvania. According to the United States District Courts website for the Pennsylvania Western District, the Pittsburgh Division of the District Courts services the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Washington, and Westmoreland. Also in view is the top of the Chatham Center (1966) (left).
