  • A view of Fifth Avenue and Smithfield Street during the Christmas season shows the original four-faced Kaufmann's clock. This clock was removed during the store's reconstruction by Jannsen and Abbott in 1913. The scene is crowded with pedestrians, an automobile, a street car, and horse-drawn vehicles.
