Description
Port Authority of Allegheny County trolley painted as Clark Bar. Colloquially known as the "Clark Bar Trolley," this trolley car was painted by Port Authority employee Donald Graham. A long-time resident of the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Graham began working for Port Authority in a maintenance capacity. Over time, Graham leveraged his formal education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to join the art department. Among the art department's responsibilities throughout the late 1970s was to paint Port Authority trolleys to promote and celebrate iconic local entities such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Gateway Clipper, and the Clark Bar.
