  • Description
  • A steamboat is pictured to the right-hand of the photo. From left to right, the first five structures pictured were cottages owned by Charles J. Clarke (1833-1899), Henry Holdship (1833-1897), Moses Bedell Suydam (1832-1895), J.J. Lawrence (1827-1893), and Christopher Curtis "C.C" Hussey (1840-1884). The cottages resided on the grounds of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club (Pa.). To the far right stands the Club's Clubhouse, its 1887 addition completed. The Clarke, Lawrence, and Hussey cottages, as well as the addition to the Clubhouse, remain standing today.
