  • George Westinghouse sitting at a drafting table. The photograph was commissioned by a reporter from the New York Times, who wanted a photograph of camera-shy Westinghouse working with his hands. To get the image, Westinghouse photographer Ed Kilchenstein hid in an adjacent room and took the photograph through an open door.
