The Fort Pitt Hotel is to the left of the bridge, the General Offices for the Pennsylvania Railroad Lines are in the middle background next to the steel works, with Voskamp's bakers' supplies shop on the right. This is one of a series of photographs taken to document the raising of Bridge No. 1 (Fort Wayne Railroad Bridge) by the Eastern Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
