  • The woman photographed is either Margaret Gilfillan [1849-1912] or her sister, Eleanor Gilfillan[1862-1937]. Margaret and Eleanor Gilfillan were sisters of Alexander Gilfillan. They cared for his children, Margaret, John, and Alexander, after the death of the children's mother, Annie Martha Boyd Gilfillan, in 1903.
