Description
Photo shows tipi of Eddie Big Beaver, a member of the Blackfeet Tribe, from Browning, Montana. The tipi was located on Parish Hill along Walter Road in North Park, Allegheny County Park, Allegheny County, PA. Chief Big Beaver and his family lived in North Park from 1928 until 1931 while he cared for the buffalo in the park as a game keeper. They brought the tipi with them from Browning, Montana. Also seen in the photo are an American Flag on a tall flagpole and an observation tower on the right. A small group of people are seen standing outside of the tipi.
