  • Construction for a five classroom addition began in 1949 at North Allegheny School District's Franklin Elementary School on Rochester Road in Franklin Township (Franklin Park Borough), Allegheny County, PA. The photo shows the orange brick addition under construction. The open doorway becomes the main entrance and remains so today.
