  • Aerial view of three schools located on Cumberland Road in Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. At the top of the photo is shown the original North Allegheny Junior - Senior High School, which opened in 1954. The building has since undergone expansion and at present houses the North Allegheny Intermediate High School. Northland Public Library was built and opened in 1978 on the overlooking hillside at the top right corner of the photo. The school shown at the bottom of the photo was the former Cumberland Hills School operated by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit for special needs students. After the school closed, it was incorportated into the McKnight Elementary School which is shown in the center of the photo. Cumberland Road is seen on the far right. Automobiles can be seen on the road and in the parking lots around the schools.
