  • It was while stationed as a Marine in California that Michael Walko became fascinated with the modern homes he saw in the west. Coming back east, he decided to build his dream home in the Moderne style on land surrounded by cow pastures in rural Monroeville. In June, 2008 this house was torn down to make way for a set of townhouses.
