Description
The land of the Grimm farm on Tilbrook Road has been traced back to the Revolutionary War but, it was Lloyd Grimm who mined coal on the property in the 1920s, and who owned and operated the Grimm Coal Company, from whom the place got its name. It was a popular gathering place; today (2006) the farmhouse serves as the residence of the Witter family.
