Description
This is one of the few vernacular frame farmhouses still standing in Monroeville. It was originally built as the Boyd family farmhouse. The Boyd’s came to this area in the late 1800s, and they owned the land on which both Boyd’s Hill and Mellon Plan were built. The last of the Boyd’s, Sarah Boyd, died in 1925, but the house has been well-preserved and today (2007) serves as the residence of the Havrilla family.
