Description
Around 1800, 154 square perches of land were donated by Robert Johnston to the community for a graveyard. The parcel of land would serve as the core of what would become Cross Roads Cemetery. Later parcels would be donated by the Johnston’s son, John, as well as fellow settlers Joel Monroe, Samuel Snodgrass and Robert Beatty. Throughout the years, many of these pioneering families, like the Aber's, have found the Cross Roads Cemetery to be their final resting place.
