Description
The Haymaker log house had passed to the Maxwell family who used it as a residence for a number of years; most recently passing to Curtis Brooks and his wife, Lou Ann in 1988. They set about doing a major restoration. Exterior siding was removed to restore the log façade, and new chinking applied. The interior was renovated and many of the original beams were left exposed in keeping with the house’s rural charm. It stands today as a substantial and comfortable home, true to the architectural tradition of a Pennsylvania log house.
