  • Photo shows snow-covered Babcock Boulevard looking north at the intersection with Kummer Road in Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. Kummer Road bears off at the left-hand side of the image. Photo shows deep snow covering the road and houses. A truck and gentleman with a shovel are seen trying to clear snow from the road. Three others are looking on to the left. A two story clapboard house with a porch in the front is seen along with a barn. A road sign pillar in the intersection reads "Drive with care." The house in the distance on the right still stands today, on Babcock Boulevard, just opposite Sheffield Court. Mailboxes are seen in the foreground. Just out of view on the right is the property that would one day be home to Passavant Hospital.
