Description
A large crowd lines both sides of Centre Avenue in a rally for Dwight Eisenhower. A neon sign reading Atlantic" is visible on the left. In the background, part of the Sparkle Super Market, The Home Drug Company, and the New Granada Theatre can be seen. The Home Drug Company was located at 2001 Centre Avenue. Mounted police patrol the street, and on the far right a marching band, immersed in the crowd, provides entertainment. Eisenhower campaigned for president in 1952 and 1956, but it is not clear if this rally was connected with an election."
