Description
Jazz band with four trumpet players, a trombone player, a drummer, a piano player and a bandleader. The musicians are young men, perhaps high school students. They are dressed informally and playing in a large institutional room. Horace Turner is one trumpet player, Bobby Boswell is seated with trombone, Bobby Head is on piano and Tommy Turrentine is also on trumpet. Tommy Turrentine, Jr. is listed as a musician in the 1951 city directory, giving an approximate date for the photograph.
