With these objectives in mind, the Uniontown Chapter of Hadassah was created. Although it is uncertain when the Uniontown Chapter of Hadassah was established, its charter reflected the goals and initiatives of the national organization; "to promote the establishment of a legally assured, publicly secured home for the Jewish people in Palestine; to provide and promote in Palestine a broad program of health activities, social services, and youth welfare work; and foster Zionist ideals and education in America." The chapter was part of the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio Region.
Any woman who subscribed and supported the objects and purposes of Hadassah was eligible for membership. A membership to the chapter also included a membership in the World Zion Organization. The chapter also recognized and promoted the organization of Junior Hadassah.
The group met in a variety of locations in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, including Temple Israel, Adelphia Club, Tree of Life Synagogue, Uniontown Jewish Community Center, and the homes of elected officers or members. The chapter hosted events and fundraisers for various local causes supported by the organization and annual events that included the donor dinner/luncheon which raised money for the Hadassah Medical Organization and Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem.
