The collection contains letters, speeches, photographs, and newspaper clippings that document the interior and exterior of the synagogue, various Jewish communal fundraising activities, and the relationship between rabbis and congregants. An oversize photograph shows the attendees at a United Jewish Appeal lunch in 1962. A selection of slides shows the coal patch town of Alison, Pa. in the late 1970s. Of note is a series of photographs, speeches and clippings documenting the dedication of two Torah scrolls in 1964, one given by the Greenfield family, and another acquired by the congregation. After the congregation closed, the Greenfield Family scroll went to Congregation Gemilas Chesed in White Oak and the congregational scroll went to Beth El Congregation of the South Hills, along with the ark from the Brownsville synagogue.
