Description
Patience Blayden, Associate Professor of Physical Education, introduces students Kathleen Blankenship ('81) and Kim Hodge ('80) to the sport of grass or turf skiing. Grass skiing was invented in Europe in 1966 as a way for alpine skiers to train during the offseason. The skis have wheels or tracks that allow participants to glide down hills not covered in snow.
