  • Phipps Conservatory, built in 1893 by greenhouse specialists Lord and Burnham, was originally financed by Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie. In addition to permanent displays for palms, orchids, cacti, and ferns, the Conservatory sponsors major seasonal shows such as the Fall, Christmas, and Spring Flower Shows.
