Creator
Samuel A. Musgrave

Description
Caption on the back of the photograph reads, “Streamliners – the “Zooper Chief” and the “Scream Liner” carry youthful passengers on an enchanting ride around the wooded hillside at Highland Park.” The Children’s Zoo and the “Casey Jones” miniature railroad resulted from gifts by the Sarah Mellon Scaife Foundation. The first miniature railroad was completed at the Children’s Zoo in 1955. The style of the trains may have changed over the years, but all have carried children over a mile and a half long track. Sometimes the train has passed over a waterfall and on some occasions past a replica of an Indian village.
