Description
Construction of the first David L. Lawrence Convention Center, located in downtown Pittsburgh on Penn Avenue between Tenth and Eleventh Streets. The Convention Center, completed in 1981, was designed by Celli-Flynn Associates. It was demolished in 2001 to make way for a larger convention center, which opened in September 2003.
