Description
The Administration Building at the Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, was built in 1793. It is the eighth oldest college structure still in use in the United States. Classes started at this college in 1781 at nearby Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, making it the oldest college west of the Alleghenies. The campus is comprised of twenty-two acres. In September 1970, the college became co-educational.
