Description
The beginning phases of demolition for Duquesne University’s expansion in the Lower Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Urban Duquesne University at the upper edge of Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle” has gradually expanded by acquiring neighboring property both on the Bluff and along Forbes Avenue. New classroom buildings, dormitories, athletic facilities, and parking garages have increased Duquesne’s campus by more than 100 percent since the end of World War II replacing an area crowded with antiquated buildings, blight, and squalor.
