Description
Caption on the back of the photograph reads, “The new library at Duquesne University on the Bluff overlooking the Golden Triangle.” The library at Duquesne University had its beginnings in 1878 on Wylie Avenue when Duquesne University was known as the Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost. Construction on a new library, made possible through a contribution by an alumnus, was completed in 1939. The structure was given to the Law School when the present library was completed in 1978, refurbished, and opened as the Law School in 1982.
