Description
Looking toward downtown Pittsburgh from the top of the Duquesne Prep School on Webster Avenue in the Hill District, this photograph shows in the foreground the site that was to become the USX Tower (today known as U.S. Steel Tower). In the center of the photograph is the old Sun-Telegraph Building just above Grant Street. Behind the Sun-Telegraph Building can be seen the First Lutheran Church on Grant Street. To the left in the background is the William Penn Hotel.
